For Sale - Two bedroom cosy cottage

Pretty two bedroom country cottage for sale - very cosy! Pink front door and polka dot chimney. Pale blue windows and cheery red roof. Guaranteed to keep your pot of tea nice and warm.

It must have been writing about the cottage I made for my mum in my last post that made me want to make this tea cosy. She loved her tea and she loved country cottages too. Anyway, on Friday night I decided to give it a go, A roaring fire and pile of chocolate kept me going and by Sunday evening the cottage was ready! I've put it in my Etsy shop if anyone wants to have a look.

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on the last post. It was quite a personal one for me to write and very hard to put into words. so huge THANK YOU! Several of you asked to see the original cottage I sewed for my mum when I was a schoolgirl. Well here it is (thanks M for going up to the loft to have a rummage) - very idyllic and not unlike the ones we see when we're out walking. One day ...
Have a good week

Ah dear Kim, this is so sweet! How fun too that you still have it. It is very idyllic! Don't you just wish you could move in? Congratulations on your latest masterpiece. I am off to read the last post on your blog which I somehow missed.

I will sit here by the fire watching Cranford and thinking that you are watching it too. I so hope it will be as good as it looks. But then with Dame Judy Dench and the other line up, it must be good.

Happy Tuesday!

It's just beautiful, you're mum would be very proud.
Does it turn into the real thing if you pop it outside? and sprinkle fairy dust on it? cos it looks a great place to live x

Hugs.

Oh Kim, both cottages are beautiful. Will you hang the cottage picture up in pride of place now it is out of the loft? It certainly deserves to be. Love Jackiex

The picture of the cottage is perfect - how I'd love to live there:) Seeing your tea cosies almost makes me wish that we drank tea - neither DH nor I ever drink it and I don't possess a teapot!

Kim I have just read my last comment and can see how easy it is word something and get the wrong message across!
I should have added in there that your Mum would have been thrilled with the cottage that yuo made as a child, I didn't mean the one you have only just made......I am rushing things, sorry.

Hi Kim
Nice to hear from you and thank you for leaving a comment on the blog.
I intend every year to give my handmade gifts but then I feel a tad mean so end up giving my stuff and buying a gift. A habit I really must stop doing now as I feel it has all got a bit silly. The stupid thing is I often buy other peoples handmade goods to give.
Hope you stick to your plan of giving as many handmade gifts as possable. Will post on the blog if I do or not LOL
Love the tea cosy

You are so sweet Kim. It shows in the things you make and the comments you leave on blogs. I love that your mom saved your cottage artwork. It is so cute and so is your tea cozy.
