Oh alright then ....

Thank you all for the lovely comments about the flowers. I can't keep the secret any longer, so if you go over here the story is being unravelled. My lovely friend Emma got married so please pop over to her blog to wish her wonderful family congratulations. She got married and we were there - she planned her beautiful wedding day and asked us to be part of it. I can't tell you how I felt when I received the invite - honoured, privileged, excited and overwhelmed by the warmth and kindness of a friend who I met because we both decided to write some words on the computer and publish them! To discover that we live just streets apart and share so many dreams and loves has been wonderful for me.

In the build up to her big day, I had been party to some of her plans. The wedding Emma wanted reflected her so beautifully - natural, pretty, friendly and warm. As I said before the story is not mine to tell but the day was perfection, filled with adults and children laughing, the sun shining (how lucky were you Emma), the most beautiful setting and the loveliest of newlyweds (Emma you looked a dream) - congratulations to you two and your gorgeous boys, and THANK YOU for letting us be a part of it.

Oh I forgot about the flowers - they were just one of oh so many posies of flowers that Emma had grown on her allotment for the day. Jars of gorgeous posies decorated the tables surrounded by handfuls of loveheart sweets - heaven!

Love is in the air as I too went to the most delicious wedding on saturday, not a dry eye in the house, the young bridesmaids dancing in their barefeet, lovely roses, laughter and good conversation, new friends and the most gorgeous and delightful home where the reception was. Kiss someone you love today, I am feeling romantic. X

It is so special to find a kindred spirit through blogging but then to discover you live near each other is really great fun. I met another lady here in my city who also is a needleworker through my handwork blog. I just love having our online friendship blossom into a real life one too. What a happy day it must have been for all!

Hugs ~

Hi Kim

Do you think we should try and set up a sussex version of the vintage and handmade meeting? I do not want to pinch their idea by any means but obviously there must be quite a few people locally who cannot make it down to Chipping Sodbury but would like to meet locally. I dont know what your thoughts are?
Have asked Emma to blog more about her wedding! It was nice to seem some more photos via your blog. Weddings can be so wonderful now - less etiquette to be bogged down with -everything seems more free. My husband and I got so disillusioned 16 years ago that we thought bugger it and ran off and got married! Love Emma

This is soooo romantic, I read about weddings like this in Country Living ect, but this is soo much better it's for real, with people who are your friends, it is magical. Events and days like this are what make the world a very special place; gosh I really wish all of our days were filled with friends and happyness, love and laughter....
