Door to door ...

Thank you all so much for your 'door' comments. It has been great fun reading them - I really do have a thing about front doors and would love to make a book of photos of them.

It was great reading all about the colours you have chosen or would like for your doors, I've conjured up some lovely images of your homes now!

We've just returned from a few wonderful days away and whilst I catch up with the washing, the hundreds of miles and what feels like a couple of centuries in time that we have travelled,

I wanted to quickly show you some lovely doors I noticed (there were so many to choose from).

I hope to be back very soon with some organised photos of our holiday and tales of muslin dresses, taking the waters, afternoon strolls and Regency rambles, but most of all the kindness and generosity of a special friend.

If you can't wait that long, here are a few clues:

(!)

Not a front door, but a view through the keyhole

And our very own Mr Darcy, who stole our hearts (no not this little chap, someone much more handsome ...)

Ooh, the mere mention of Mr Darcy, and I'm all a-flutter!! Can't wait to hear all about your trip. Do you think DD would object if I booked her into the Asylum for young women??!

Oh you lucky family - I know where youve beeeen!
They certainly do have gorgeous doors in that part of the world, quite like the sort of lavander/aubergine one!
Must catch up, we have had an awful half term going down one by one with a nasty lurgey!

I love that lime green door!

I would love a pink front door, bust somehow I can't seem to convince the navy that it would look right.

A good front door says a lot about a home.. as my mother used to say.. 'You can always tell someone by their shoes'..!??
Now.. let me think.. where could you have been with doors like that ???? They sure look familiar!

So sorry to mess up your comments ... I am having hiccups with my broadband connection and it seems to duplicate everything when it does decide to work!
Hence the deleted comments!

What lovely inspiration, Kim... hubby is re-siding our house and we will be purchasing a new front door, and I can choose any color paint for the door I wish! =)

My #2 child performed the random generator test, and you have won my giveaway, Kim! =) Please send me your address to stitchintyme9 @ aol. I have your address written down somewhere, but can't locate it at the moment. Happy weekend!

I had to laugh at the title of you post, as we are spending the weekend going "door to door" for the municipal elections, in which The Great Dane is running.
The doors are lovely - years ago I remember coveting a poster of "Doors of Kingston" and ever after wished for a red door.
I look forward to reading about your holiday!
