Enchanted April
Thank you all so much for your lovely, warm and supportive comments on my last post. As you can see from the above photo, Big Sister is back enjoying life again. The exam went well (she thinks) and it's another week of revising but the weekend was fun. Here she is enjoying the freedom at Heaven Farm.
I can't believe that it's a year since we last went for our bluebell walk and the bluebells this year were even better than lasts.
It's a poorly Ragged Roses writing this post, having spent the past 24 hours sleeping and being sick I am trying very hard to muster up the enthusiam to do justice to this magical place.
Acres and acres of blue ribboned land, birdsong and the trickle of streams.
Ancient trees, deer and we're sure the odd fairy or two. Look at this glittery dust we found on a tree,
proof if ever there was ...
It was a grey day when we visited but this seemed to enhance the colour of the bluebells.
What a wonderful colour combination, the fresh vivid blues and vibrant greens and I wish you could have smelt the flowers too. The smell of pure, fresh Spring!
I think I need to have a little rest again now and I'll leave you with some more photos. Sorry if I made any of you shed a tear on the last post I'll be round with some ice cream and mad mum dancing when I'm feeling better. Have a good few days.

This fantastic photo of big sister really sums up Spring... looks like it has sprung good and proper!
Bluebell woods are sublime and it is impossible to imagine them without fairies flitting around from blossom to blossom.
Sending love and big spoon of TLC to you Kim.. Hope you feel better with each passing hour!
With love

Wow, what a great bluebell wood, I often pass verges of bluebells in the car, but haven't ever had the good fortune of walking through one. I am sorry to hear you are under the weather and just as Big Sister has perked up too. Do you think you have eaten something or perhaps it's a virus? I do hope you start feeling better soon Kim. x
Definitely a magical wood! There used to be a lovely one to visit here but the National Trust has fenced it all off so you can't get in. Boo! Sorry you're feeling krook, hope it's better soon.
I have a little something especially for you over on my blog Kim. x
So pleased all went well and what gorgeous photos.
Sorry to hear you've got the lurgy, hope you emerge from it soon.

Hope you are soon feeling better - there are heaps of horrid bugs doing the rounds at the moment. The bluebell wood looks like a great place to relax though!

What a lovely blog, I'm glad to have discovered it, thanks to Louise @ Home Is Where The Heart Is. I really appreciate all the pictures around London, etc. The farthest I've ever been out of the U.S. is Canada, in 1975. Some day I intend to travel absolutely everywhere, but until then, I appreciate the little blog travelogues!
I remember seeing your bluebells a year ago!!! So wonderful to see so many in one place.
I hope you get to feeling better so you can jump like your daughter :)
Hope you feel better soon-- glad I found you again. Lovely bluebell woods-- definately an enchanted fairy place

What lovely writing, very touching.
Bluebells are few and far between in France, so it is wonderful to imagine the cool bluebell woods in your photos.
Just beautiful. Really great photos Kim. I am glad Big Sister is back on form and hope that you get better quickly too.
I love Bluebell Woods they are magical and like you say the even on a grey day the colour is still superb.

Hi Kim, wish I could spring into the air like Big Sister can, oh to be young and lithe... Sorry you're not feeling too good, hopefully it won't stay too long. Beautiful pics of the bluebell wood!

Oooh I had forgotten how much I 'love' bluebells!
We don't have them here in Canada. I miss walks in the English woods amongst the pretty wild flowers.
I just found your blog and will be back to visit again soon.
Hazel
Hi Kim,
What a wonderful enchanting place, if I were a fairy I would live there for sure. I hope you feel better soon.
Cheers Linda
Beautiful beautiful pictures.... they made my heart sing!

What beautiful photos!! the bluebells are stunning!!

That place does look like heaven! I hope you're feeling better Kim. Being a mum isn't all "bluebells" and sometimes it is hard. Sometimes it takes crazy dancing to get our children to smile and sometimes we need that crazy dance for ourselves. Hang in there my friend! Some day your daughter will be grown and doing her own mommy dancing.
Well done to big sis for getting through the last and good luck for this week ahead.
I'm sure it's all down to your mad Mum dancing lol If she felt the pressure, just picturing that would of cheered her up.
I hope you're feeling better now and shaken off that nasty bug.
Beautiful photos, we went for a walk like that on Sunday to our local country park and it to was full to bursting with bluebells but silly us we forgot the camera.
Oh well next time there's always next time.
Bug hugs and a little mad Mummy dancing for you too x

Great photos!

Bluebell woods are so glorious...one of the countryside's most beautiful sights. Love your photos and hope you're soon feeling better.
Margaret and Noreen
That is a marvellous bluebell wood! Hope you are feeling better soon.
Rosie
Wow, what fab bluebells! It's years since I went on a bluebell walk, I remember gathering armfuls of them as a small child, before it was announced that picking wildflowers is a no-no.
I hope you start to feel well again soon, there are some seriously nasty bugs going around (I seem to have had one after another over the last month), so look after yourself.
Chat soon, Liz
I can almost see the fairies dancing around. Very pleased to hear the Big Sis is feeling better about the exams.
WONDERFUL photos Kim - truly magical.
(Must try and do the same thing myself this weekend.)
Hope you are feeling better now and have a fab BH weekend,
Niki x
That location with masses of bluebells is unbelievable - a true fairyland. Your photos are beautiful. Thank you so much for showing the bluebells to us who are in other countries.
I was happily reading your blog and then suddenly I thought I was reading my own...the reason being I had taken those very same pictures at Heaven farm which happens to be 200 yards down the road from me. What a small world!
