Summer album

Well Little Sister has been off school for a fortnight and it's been a fortnight of contrasts and choices.

Countryside

and seaside.

Sailing boats

and pirate ships

Blue skies

and rainy days

Lavender in my garden

and in sachets

Uncooked cake mixture

and vanilla and chocolate

Red

and blue

Some choices have been harder than others!

Days by the sea

and days at home. A time to catch up on old films, watching "Rebecca" late at night with Big Sister and "Wuthering Heights" on a grey afternoon.

An evening of sheer terror and suspense and an afternoon of girls crying inconsolably, eating cake and popcorn, cuddling and ultimately laughing. Dreams of Cornwall and the Yorkshire Moors. Good times.

Some lovely images Kim. I especially like the flower and reflection in the puddle. Marble cake, now that's something I haven't seen for a good few years, it looks very morish indeed. No difficult choice for me to make with Tunnocks, I will choose the milk chocolate every time! x

Looks like the most perfect summer! And it wouldn't be a proper British summer without a few rainy days. K x

Your pictures are beautiful, Kim. However, as a true foodie, it was the chocolate that caught my eye. On vacation we found a chocolate shop that had the Tunnocks caramel which I ate after gobbling down a Yorkie. And it is NOT just for boys!

Me again Kim,
I am going to be looking at a few cottages in Sussex next week....need to be sure that I am in the right part of Sussex...one is in Peasmarsh and two in Battle...do you have any suggestions of where to relocate my cottage? needs to be in part that would be of interest to holiday-makers!
