Please Don't Eat The Daisies ...

I've got a new teacosy! A month after getting all my bits and bobs together, dyeing the fabric etc, it's finished! It's quite fitting that I started it just after watching a Doris Day film (see earlier post) as I now think it looks just like one of her hats and or the title credits/graphics to one of her films! Either way I don't think I'll be needing to make an Easter bonnet this year!
I have been overwhelmed by your generous comments about my corsages and cosies. I am so pleased that you like them. I started this blog just to be able to join in this wonderful shared conversation that I had been reading over the months but had no idea that within a few weeks people might want to buy something. I am honestly still surprised when someone has left me a comment on a post! If anyone would like to buy anything they've seen please let me know as I am in the process of sorting it out but have no idea how to go about it. I don't think I can sell directly from this site or can I? Does anyone have any suggestions? Not very good with the self-promoting bit - just got used to show and tell!
Changing the subject quickly - more importantly, my daughter is slowly getting better. The doctor has had to resort to antibiotics as she was deteriorating over the week and nothing was working. Fingers crossed that she's on the mend now though. I showed her the get well wishes she got on this site and she was chuffed, so thanks again!
The sun is shining again today and the lawn has had its first haircut of the year and in amongst the primroses and muscaris, there were real daisies too!
Have a good weekend.

I can't find your e-mail, so I'll answer here :)
I've decided to move over to Typepad (plus). So far I really enjoy it there... I'll blog about it soon.

And by the way, I used to know Brighton rather well, however, that's 12 years ago now!! We used to live in Shoreham-by-Sea. As I said, wonderful memories!

Well done - let's hope people are rushing to buy your adorable tea cosies and corsages!

I do hope the anitbiotics work on your daughter.

I hope your daughter gets well quickly!!!

And what a stunning tea cozy! It DOES remind me of a Doris Day hat!!! I suggest you give etsy a try (etsy.com). It is an online marketplace for handmade items only. I have been selling there since Dec 2005. Carol in Germany from The Boxwood Cottage blog just started selling her paper collages there and has done very well. I KNOW I would love to purchase one of your treasures!

I would say go for an Etsy account - they are easy to set up and manage and cost very little to have. The trouble with a website is the set - up costs if you do not know someone who can do it for you!
I love having a website but i have also just started an Etsy for my handmade items.
I will email you with another idea as well!!!
Have a great weekend

The teacosy is adorable ~ and very appropriately named!! :) I just noticed the other day that my primrose is greening up but the muscari won't bloom here for another 6-8 weeks. What a lovely surprise to find daisies in your lawn! ♥

Hi Kim, it's Allison here from "My Cozy Home". Thank you so much for visiting me at my blog. I really appreciate it. I just have been getting time to get to my blogging - been such a busy week. And I wanted to make sure you knew that I stopped by to say hi. Your blog is very lovely and really like the amazing teacozy you made. You're right, that is very reminiscent of a Doris Day hat - and purely scrumptious. It's very cute.

That tea cosy is amazing and so original. I'm sure you'd sell loads but it must take you ages to make. Glad your daughter is feeling better.

My first time to your blog, I love the teacosy, it would keep sping in the house all year long. Also enjoyed the pictures of your cat. Glad your daughter is getting better.

It's really hard to know how to sell your goods. I still consider setting up an etsy site. I am selling my things (when I have enough made to sell again) from another blogger site that I modified to set up as a shop. My next step is to add Paypal to it. Although the blogger site doesn't look as pretty as a professionally done web site would, it costs nothing, and when I was selling my things before Christmas, it worked pretty well. Good luck.

Hi Kim. All you do is click on the link and then fill in the blanks with whatever you want. If you don't like how it' looks, you just delete what you originally put in and do it again =) Have Fun! Debbie

Such a beautiful teacosy. A hot water bottle would be lovely like that to snuggle up top. Did it take long to make?

Oh my!

Here I am, just back from a blogging vacation, because I'd gotten over-extended with reading/commenting in what I call 'My Pretty Blog Land.'

And what do I do? I find another one! Which I just _have_ to add to my Pretty Blogs. Oh my! What am I to do????? :-))))

But your Blog name has 'roses' in it. And you love roses. And you love the color pink. And you sound delightful. Oh my! How can I resist?

But sorry about the sickness. Tis the same on this side of the Pond. All forms of colds and etc., just keep making the rounds. -sigh-

But anyway, I'm very happy to meet you.
