Go on please have some cake. It's Monday morning, the sun is shining, is that a good enough reason? It's Monday morning, the sun is shining and the cake is pink, will that do? Well how about it's my birthday today? Or, it's my birthday today and lots of lovely lady bloggers' birthdays too this week? Or, and this is my final stab, it's Agatha Christie's birthday today and therein perhaps lies the reason behind the similarities between my winter wardrobe and that of dotty old Miss Marple - woolly tights and cardigans are de rigeur don't ya know!

Have you seen Laura ashley's Winter clothing collection?? very Miss Marple and 1940's wartime england...love that look, had a good time this weekend sorting my winter clothing out and putting away the summer?? stuff!
I love the belted cardi over the blouse look...Tesco are also doing a 1940 inspired collection which is a great deal cheaper.....i'll be hunting thru the charity shops and updating what i have leftover from last yr!!
