The cosiness of tea
What is it about tea? By the end of a really busy day if I haven't had my cuppa I'm desperate. Maybe it's something about growing older, but there is nothing better than sitting back with a mug of PG tips with the radio on for a few minutes just thinking and enjoying the moment.
I'm busy dyeing fabric at the moment to finish off the project I started on Monday. I've decided to make a new tea cosy, since my last one was inadvertently set alight by my husband when he was making porridge. If I get the courage I'll show it when it's done - meanwhile the photo above, in true Blue Peter fashion, is one I made earlier (last spring to be exact). Very nervous about showing my things but I have to take the plunge - your comments suggest that you want to see something! Feel a bit like a child handing in their homework late and not sure of the reaction ...
Thanks to all of you for such lovely, welcoming comments, especially to the very kind Samantha at plump pudding. You are a lovely bunch -
enjoy your tea.

Hello! I don't like tea (but I'm not English, so I guess it's not too much of a sacrilege..!), but I think this is very beautiful; you shouldn't worry about showing the things you make if they are as lovely as this!
...enjoy your tea! ;-)
That tea cosy is GORGEOUS.. How did you do it? I'd love one like that, great for Easter. I could not live without my tea, only I am a bit particular about it (some say anal), in that I have to have it in a proper cup and saucer... makes all the difference!
Thanks for the lovely comments. I agree tea does taste better out of a cup and saucer, but you get so much more in a mug!
Wow - that is a fancy schmancy tea pot.
It's beautiful!
Im with you on the tea! And I like it in certain cups/mugs at certain times of the day -mmm, think I am abit anal about it!
Great tea cosy, cant wait to see the new one. Yep the sun is gorgeous here too!
I'm so glad that I found your blog, I hope that you will show off all of your lovely crafty things. I love your tea cosy, it is so pretty, and unique. I also like to have my tea in a mug, but I only ever drink half of it - is that wierd?
Being a tea and coffee drinker I know where you're coming from. I'm a Twinings English Breakfast kind of girl - first thing in the morning - and a good cup of proper coffee come 10.30am. You can tell I work from home!
Love the T-cosie, very appropriate for this time of year!

I don't know how you did it (i don't sew!), but it looks really spring pretty!
Oh my dear, if that isn't the most scrumptious tea cozy I have ever seen! The colors are stunning. And I can honestly say that PG Tips is my favorite tea! It is the only tea I drink in fact (we sell quite a few products from the UK in our shop). Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I will definitely be back!
SIMPLY GORGEOUS!!! and WHAT TALENT!!!
LOVE IT!!

No tea drinker here either (but I did just trace some family roots back to Sussex!) I might like to have a cozy like that sitting on my counter!! Please don't be shy about showing anything...let it all out :)
Hope you don't mind, dear, but I've added you to my list of favorite blogs! =) Thank you for finding me!
PS - even my hubby loves your tea cozy. They would probably sell like hotcakes if we had something like that in the cookshop! Our tea cozies are rather cookie-cutter. We did have some pretty white eyelet ones from Ireland (Ulster Linen). Nothing like your charming daffodil cozy!
Such a fun, springlike cozy!
I am not a tea drinker, but I love all the things that go with it! I've got quite the stash of cups and teapots here. Thankfully, they are being used by my son, who has taken quite the interest in it.
I too have to have pg tips! i'm a bit anal about my tea, it has to be in one of my tea mugs (they're bigger than my coffee mugs), and i have to have tea as soon as i get up in the morning. coffee just doesn't cut through the thirst like tea does.
I'm with gingervamp on the tea first thing! Then comes coffee (in a smaller mug) - and tea when I go to bed. Just wouldn't work any other way.
So pleased to have found your blog via plump pudding. Welcome to blogland - don't be shy, just post your photos and be brave! We all love 'em, and we're all incredibly complimentary!!!!
Good luck!
Hi...I'm visiting you via Shabby in the city...I saw you in comments.
I'm just recently developed a love for tea and take it every day after my blog visitations in the afternoon...a dear friend just sent me my first ever bone china tea cups and saucers...I love to make new friends, espcially those that love their "cuppa"...so come see me sometime if you like!
:-D
