Lazy days

What do you do on a very hot day when your little body can't take any more sun? You creep up into my room spend the day nestled on the bed where the sun meets the pillow, most of your body in the shade, and sleep! That's what my cat did yesterday, sounds lovely doesn't it - apart from the silhouette of black fur she left behind.

A lovely start to the day today, a cuddle in bed with my youngest. M had gone to work, teenager in her room sleeping as only teenagers do and me and my little one cuddled up together humming the tune to Bewitched and giggling. It's great not to be running round in the mornings, finding bits of uniform, missing homework and something for the lunchbox. We're off for a picnic at the beach today with some friends, so I better step up a gear and get moving,

Before I go I'd like to thank Alison over at Foxgloves for nominating me for the Nice Matters Award! I understand that this award is for those bloggers who are nice people; good blog friends and those who inspire good feelings and inspiration. Also for those who are a positive influence on our blogging world. Well I'm very flattered, touched and embarassed but thank you!
I have to nominate 7 others for the award and this time I'd better actually nominate as I always find it so hard to choose - so here goes (for some reason my computer won't let me do any links today but all the links are on the sidebar - even the computer is being lazy)
Samantha from Plump Pudding -
Emma from Sew Recycled -
Rowan from Circle of the Year -
Lynda from Hedgerow Hollow -
Anna from Thimbleanna -
Betty from She's Sew Pretty -
Tracy at Pink Purl -
That was really hard as we all inspire each other in so many ways.

Thanks also to Emma for nominating me for another Blogger Reflection award. I'm not going to nominate anyone in particular for this, as every single post I've read on your blogs has made me think and reflect and glad to be doing this!
Have a good day.

What a lovely photo - it's a hard life being a pampered cat isn't it? I have one like that too!

Thanks ever so much for the nomination. I'm touched (and there certainly are people who would agree with that sentiment!)

Your cat reminds me of ours. They have their fave beds depending what time of the day it is.I spend half my life cleaning cat hair!

Congratulations on your awards, Kim! You are so deserving of each of them!

I know just what you mean about kitties on the bed... my cat only sleeps on my side of the bed and leaves behind a kitten's-worth of fur when she jumps off! =)

Thank you so much for nominating me for this award, it's a really nice one to get and I really appreciate it. Congrats on getting it yourself too.
I love the picture of your cat curled up on the bed and the one of the lavender in the enamel jug - both such tranquil, summery scenes. Isn't it lovely to be having some sun at last? How nice to live near enough to the beach to be able to enjoy the sea and sand on days like this. Hope you had fun.

That room of yours is sooooo lovely, I am inspired to soften the colours in my own room, at the moment they are a rich red, great for Christmas time, but not very good for the summer. Oh the relaxed mornings no running around, its so good you take the time to appreciate it, so many people don't, its a special time eapecially with giggles!!!

Your summer sounds like it is a very peaceful and happy one! Aren't cats the most wonderful and lazy creatures! They really do know how to live.

Lazy days indeed.
We're having temps nearing 100 degrees here. My poor sweet dog can hardly stand to go outside.

She sleeps all day, too.

Congratulations on your Awards!

Kimberly :)
